Night Vision Security Cameras.

A night vision Device is an optoelectronic device that allows images to be produced in levels of light approaching total darkness. The devices were first used in World War II, and came into wide use during the Vietnam War. The technology has evolved greatly since their introduction, leading to several “generations” of night vision equipment with performance increasing and price decreasing. Consequently, they are available for a wide range of applications, e.g. for gunners, drivers and aviators, and even security cameras.

We probably have seen the scary movies that give us the scene our family’s safety and security doesn’t exist in our home. Sometimes this scene happens in our real life. We worry about burglars who break into house with ease, and coming home unaware our house has been violated by an intruder. These fears are compounded during the nighttime hours, and it is important to know what your options are for securing your home.

We know some popular security measures are: Security personnel, security cameras, door and window alarm systems. Security cameras, the most logical starting point is a surveillance system with night vision.

Infrared Security Cameras.

Infrared Security Cameras have the capability to capture video in low light and no light (0 Lux) areas. Infrared Cameras (IR) are sometimes referred to as IR cameras or Night visions security cameras because of this. Infrared cameras have IR LEDs positioned around the outer edges of the camera lens which gives the camera its “Night Vision”.

Infrared Cameras can capture acceptable video in complete darkness and even better quality video in low light. Even a small amount of ambient light helps the overall night vision capability of IR cameras a lot. IR cameras are available in various body styles, such as dome and bullet styles, round styles.
