A real home
What is a real home? A roof to keep out the rain? Floors to keep out the cold? A security camera to keep your family safe? Yes, but home is more than that. It is the laugh of a baby, the song of a mother, the strength of a father, warmth of loving hearts, lights from happy eyes, kindness, loyalty, and comradeship.
But in the real word, the real home is not always that perfect. There is a story i read from a book.
She got divorced with her 5 years kid. Bills, house payments, health insurance. Her part time job provided little income and fewer befits. With no financial support, she had finally lost the house. Life was tough for her and her kid.
At her wits’ end, she managed to rent a cramped camper at the local park for herself and her kid.
After their evening ritual of giggling over a table game and reading stories, she sent her son outside to play until bedtime while she agonized over the checkbook. She glanced out of the window when she heard a voice.
“Say, Josh, don’t you wish you had a real home?” asked the campground manager.
She tensed and held her breath as she leaned nearer the open window. Then a smile spread across her face when she heard her kid’s response.
“We already have a real home”, he said. It’s just that we don’ t have a house to put it in.”
Sometimes attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference, a real home is where is the heart is.
